Pioneer Days
The 24th of July is rapidly approaching, and while most town events will be on the 24th, some will be happening
this week. Beginning on Wednesday, the Zions Band Days of '47 Rodeo
will get underway at Energy Solutions Arena, with additional rodeo nights on the 19th, 21st-24th. Saturday the
19th will feature First Encampment, Youth Parade, and Youth Festival (sponsored by IHC and Zions Bank). You can get
full details at Days of '47. Events this week in Ogden
include a parade, family night, concert, kid's rodeo, and live auction. At the
American West Heritage Center in Wellsville, there will be an All Horse Parade on the 19th, as well as the
Spirit of '47 Pioneer Jubilee, featuring a horse pull, handcart progressive dinner, parade, and quilt show.

Folkfest
The 2008 Springville World Folkfest will be July 12 - 19. This
is the 21st annual event, and will include folk music and dance.

Shakespeare
The 2008 Utah Shakespearean Festival is open in Cedar City, and
runs through the summer and into early fall.

Farmers Markets
Summer is here, and the annual Farmers Markets are beginning to open. The Salt Lake City Downtown Farmers Market
is now open for the season at Pioneer Park. Hours are 8 am - 1 pm on Saturdays. For mid-week shopping, the
Park City Farmer's Market (at The Canyons) is on Wednesdays, from Noon - 7 pm. Provo's Farmer's Market is located
at Pioneer Park (5th West & 1st South) on Saturdays from 9am-noon.

Free Concerts
This weeks free concerts at Brigham Young Historic Park,
includes Western Shadows (Western, Folk, Bluegrass), and Cinnamon Creek Folks Singers. All concerts begin at 8 pm and are free.
